“Be Present“

This was the theme of Catalyst Dallas 2012.  What does it mean to be present?  To each individual it means something, but I think that “Be Present” means being able to engage the presence of God right now.  It is not about remembering what God has done in the past (although important), and it doesn’t mean looking to the future to what God is capable of doing (also important).  It is about engaging the presence of God right now, because we are never promised tomorrow.  Since we can’t live in the past and the future is always slightly out of reach, we must find our way to the present.  We must find our direction in the moment, our words in now, and the love of God through every situation.
